Pile on the pretty; that’s what fall is all about after all. For a lesson in layering lounge, we took to the studio to show how sometimes more is actually more.
You don’t need an excuse to stay in when the weather cools down. There is no guilt about putting on the TV and binging away. Start with a maternity tee like our MOM LIFE one and our favorite maternity joggers. It’s a complete look, in case people stop by… or the pizza delivery guy gets a glimpse of you. Then, as the sun goes down and the night chill comes in, pop on a maternity sweater like the featured Splendid for A Pea in the Pod one for complete comfort. Can’t stay in? Need to make a run? For our second look, we started with everyone’s favorite maternity pants, leggings. Yes, they are indeed pants. The base layer is a silky-smooth maternity tank. We love the active one from Beyond the Bump by Beyond Yoga, because it’s so stretchy and comfortable that if you happen to sneak in a little snooze, you won’t have to get undressed. The best part about layering on lounge is if the heat kicks in, or your hormones spark up… you always have the first layer of lovely to reveal; the rest is just pretty perks.
