A Pea in the Pod is thrilled to have teamed up with Curated Nest, the one stop shop for creating your dream nursery. While working with co-founders, Erin and Lina, we have combined their interior design inspiration with our styles to bring you three cohesive nursery and maternity themes. So far, we have shown you Cozy & Chic.

Today, we are talking Vintage Blush.

Everything old is new, right? Vintage is so on trend, but updated with a millennial twist. Replacing traditional furniture, like an iron crib with a modern metal one, still gives the old-school vibe with that new-school safety and style.

Keep the décor nostalgic or even handmade. Natural wool animal wall mounts or lace teepees (anything lace!) create a mood and provide a little romance, as do florals and a soft, light chandelier.

Stick to a soft and warm color palette to create that “granny chic” vibe. Blush, sage and peach keep it fresh. Remember, Erin and Lina said that personal style is truly the best place to start when creating a nursery. Get inspired with our Floral Ruffled Dress in burgundy, layered under our Wrap Maternity Jacket.

A Pea in the Pod: Who is the Curated Nest woman?

Curated Nest: Our typical customer is the new or expecting mom who is working or otherwise busy. She wants to create a special place for her little one, but doesn’t have time to sift through a ton of websites. Like an A Pea in the Pod customer, she cares about style and individuality. For her, shopping at Curated Nest is easy because it’s online, and we provide stylish Insta-worthy designs with transparent pricing.

A Pea in the Pod: Since this room inspo talks about softer colors, how much lighting is really enough?

Curated Nest: Instead of getting one bright light, even one with a dimmer, we suggested three different lights in the room. These provide “mood lighting” for different activities. We recommend a ceiling light, such as a chandelier, a table lamp for those late-night feedings, and a corner floor lamp for calm down lighting before bed.
