We’ve teamed up with another one of our favorite moms-to-be, Laura Gimbert of @prbossbabe, to find out her secrets to staying active during pregnancy. Read on to find out how she does it all.

A Pea in the Pod: Congratulations on your pregnancy! Tell us a little about you. Where are you from, what do you do and how far along are you?
Laura: Thank you so much! I was born and raised in Barcelona, Spain, and moved to Los Angeles (where I currently live) right after college, and never left… I love California! I am currently in my 25th week of pregnancy. I am married and I am a business owner of a PR and Digital Marketing agency. I love fitness and leading a healthy life.

A Pea in the Pod: Is this your first child? If so, how has life changed for you since finding out you’re pregnant?

Laura: Yes! She is my first child and I couldn’t be more excited. Life has just gotten BUSIER. I am obviously still running my own business as usual and on top of this, of course, there is a LOT to do to plan for her arrival. We are moving into a bigger place, furnishing it all, getting the baby shower ready, as well as researching all the products we’ll need.

A Pea in the Pod: We know you like to work out and stay active; how has your fitness routine changed?
Laura: It hasn’t much because I want to keep being as fit as I can during my pregnancy, for an easier recovery, easier delivery and a healthier baby. During my first trimester, I was feeling very tired and super nauseous, but I still made it to the gym every day. I didn’t want to lose the habit. Of course, during those days, I had to slow down my pace, take longer breaks in between sets, stretch for longer periods of time, drink more water… BUT I made it through! During my second trimester, I feel no difference. I obviously am not doing any ab or core workout since the day I found out I was pregnant!

A Pea in the Pod: Which styles from our active collection have you tried? If you haven’t yet, which ones do you have your eyes on?
Laura: I love the maternity leggings. They’re so comfy, easy to wear and easy to style. I found that comfortable pants and leggings are SO hard to find during pregnancy and those are! I also adore the WIFE.MOM.BOSS maternity shirt because well, that pretty much sums up who I am now.

A Pea in the Pod: What advice would you give to women who are looking to exercise during their pregnancy?
Laura: Don’t be afraid, of course, get the approval by your doctor first and LISTEN TO YOUR BODY above all!! But, don’t be afraid to work out – your body and baby will appreciate it. And, to start exercising before pregnancy, this way your body is used to it all and it won’t be as hard through pregnancy.
