Go Behind the Scenes with Our Senior Buyer

APIP BLOG MomKerry Post

“I loved every second of my two pregnancies and I want to help other women feel fantastic through theirs as well,” says Kerry Carleton, a senior buyer for A Pea in the Pod. “Be proud of your new body!”

Kerry has worked at Destination Maternity for 12 years and currently oversees A Pea in the Pod’s denim category, along with outerwear and pants; her passion for helping women embrace their pregnancy in clothing they love is something she gets to live every day. A great pair of jeans is the foundation of any maternity wardrobe and A Pea in the Pod carries maternity jeans exclusively from AG as well as styles from Paige, 7 For All Mankind®, DL1961, Citizens of Humanity and new this Fall, J Brand. Kerry works closely with all of these brands to tweak the fit of their most current and best-selling styles, usually incorporating A Pea in the Pod’s patented Secret Fit Belly®, so that moms-to-be can still wear the brands they love most throughout pregnancy and post baby.

With jeans being one of the most in-demand categories for A Pea in the Pod, Kerry is kept pretty busy yet she makes her two daughters her priority. “My favorite thing about motherhood is watching my girls learn new things,” she says.  “Watching your kids form personalities, learn life lessons, and love each other are the most amazing feelings.”

  • I have known this wonderful woman since college and she has always had a passion for whatever she embarks on. Not surprisingly she is influencing the lives of others through her determination, creativity, and pure genuine love for those around her. Congrats on this recognition Kerry!
